Beginning with a campus masterplan, Gunn Meyerhoff Shay helped this mission church prepare for the growth of Savannah’s Westside. Working with the church’s deacons and elders, a program was developed by the firm to allow for construction of a new sanctuary and Sunday school nursery that would attract young people and allow future growth as the church’s mission expanded. The firm guided the site planning through the Town of Pooler’s planning and zoning process, and helped obtain the necessary land disturbing activity permits. The new sanctuary was designed to take maximum advantage of the site’s open marsh and wetlands views, and to flood the interiors with day light. In order to allow maximum flexibility, the sanctuary was designed to be reconfigured as a fellowship hall. The project was successfully bid using Gunn Meyerhoff Shay’s extensive and detailed construction plans and  specifications, and building permits obtained. The building was dedicated in 2010, and has already become a west side landmark.
