The front of the envelope is all business. The address of where the goods came from, the place where they need to go, and the price of the freight, prepaid. But the back of the envelope, well, there just aren’t any rules. That’s the point of this blog spot–a place to sound off without boundaries.
This will be the place that I plan to use for thoughts about the many aspects of creativity that don’t fit into any of the other categories in this blog. Picture Bob Gunn and Eric Meyerhoff sitting at a booth at Johnny Ganem’s, passing a napkin back and forth as they sketch ideas for a new office building on Johnson Square for John Cay. Or you, waking up in the middle of the night with a bright idea that you can’t get out of your head until you grab a scrap of paper on the nightstand and jot it down. Sometimes the best thoughts aren’t the ones that we get when we’re supposed to–they just spring up. Eureka!
If you have one of these moments where the light bulb above your noggin comes on and you can share it, please post it here. Likewise, if you see and idea here that strikes a chord, please tell us why.
Now, did you ever wonder why you can have a microwave oven, but not a microwave freezer?
