This abandoned site was once home to the South’s first commercial ice company. With investment from one of the largest real estate investment equities in the world, it was transformed into a thriving student-housing complex, with plenty of parking, a private courtyard, and renovated historic buildings that made a fun clubhouse for residents, and a gourmet restaurant designed for a Top Chef. GMShay master planned and designed the mixed-use urban market apartment complex, and led the historic preservation efforts. One West Victory transformed the abandoned historic buildings and a brownfield site into a model for the now-thriving neighborhood.
