The Heritage Place Apartments consists of the historic Charity Hospital and Florance Street School as well as two post 21st century apartment buildings and a community center. Mercy Housing adapted these into critical affordable multi-family housing units twenty years ago and they remain staples in the historic Savannah African American neighborhood, Cuyler-Brownesville. Using LIHTC funds, GMSHAY is leading the design renovation of the apartments and community center to give the homes and site a new life.
